Michael

We were throwing around different names, knowing we wanted something somewhat traditional.  When Greg suggested Michael, it had a nice ring to it.  After doing a little research on the name -- meanings, Biblical references, etc. -- it stayed at the top of our list until the end.

Robert

His middle name recognizes mommy's side of the family.  Robert is Pop Pop Anstead's first name, and also the middle name of Uncle Glenn and Cousin Mark.  We also feel it is a classic middle name.

Leiby

Of course his last name recognizes daddy's side of the family.  Michael is the sole male carrier of the Leiby name going back at least 4 generations.  Daddy was Grandpa Leiby's only son.  Grandpa Leiby had a brother, but he had only daughters.  His father (George Sr.) was an only son.
